Parent Promise offers voluntary programs that provide parents like you with educational resources and support to help gain confidence in your parenting skills. Each parent receives one-on-one support, guidance and resources to develop a nurturing home and strengthen their family, whether it be in the form of parenting advice, child development exercises or emotional support. We want to provide resources and guidance to help you grow as a parent and provide a loving and nurturing environment to your child. Because all of our programs are voluntary, parents can start or end any of these programs at any time.
Program:
Children First – Oklahoma’s Nurse Family Partnership at Parent Promise: This program focuses on low-income, first time parents who are 28 weeks pregnant or less. Nurse home visitors work with parents one-on-one and provide information and advice to support a healthy pregnancy. Nurses work with families from prenatal until after the baby is born to provide the critical support needed during the transition into parenthood. The family receives support from this program until the child’s third birthday. This program launched in December, 2023.
